Strategic Planning Update
May has been a busy month for strategic planning work. The working groups, comprised of over 60 students, faculty and administrators, parents, alumni, and trustees, met twice this month to further develop ideas for consideration.
These groups met four times in April and May, with their final meetings held on May 23. Each group was organized in response to research collected by Ian Symmonds and Associates from the community in January. Over 1300 community members - students, parents, alumni, trustees, and employees - offered their input through surveys, interviews, and focus groups. With the working group phase of the project complete, the Steering Committee, chaired by Trustee Vin Sandhu, will continue shaping the ideas to ensure that the final plan presented to the Board next school year is thoughtful, thorough, and responds to the research collected. Hackley's Board of Trustees will receive an update at their June 2 meeting before additional refinement over the summer. The Steering Committee's goal is to present a final plan for adoption this fall.
