Introducing Eat to Compete, a Food and Nutrition Education Program

On Wednesday, March 8, Hackley School Assistant Athletic Trainer and Health Educator Kayla Simpson and FLIK’s Director of Wellness Susan Cooper came together to promote healthful eating and proper fueling to student-athletes.

They offered two smoothie samples (strawberry banana avocado and berry banana kale), which will be offered at The Well as pre-fueling options. The tasting was an opportunity to discuss the importance of athlete nutrition and what will help students feel and perform their best.

This wellness table was part of the launch of Eat to Compete, a food and nutrition education program for student-athletes. More events are planned throughout the spring. Stay tuned!
