Middle Schoolers Build Community Through Annual Fall Trips

Throughout the fall, Middle Schoolers have been embarking on their annual fall trips, full of team-building activities and outdoor adventures.

Fifth graders visited Camp Kiwi in northern Westchester on Sept. 23. They had fun on the 500-foot zipline and high ropes course, and were challenged to collaborate to complete various exercises. The trip helped advisors and advisees get to know one another, and it helped students acclimate to the Middle School community, make friends, and strengthen old bonds.

Sixth graders stayed overnight at Mountain Lakes Camp in North Salem, N.Y. from Sept. 29 to 30. They enjoyed building rafts, which they tested on a lake, a low ropes course, and a hike, as well as a bonfire with s’mores.

Seventh graders spent Oct. 13 and 14 at the Princeton-Blairstown Center in N.J., where they took on the ropes courses and had a talent show indoors (due to the rain) to showcase their unique skills.

Eighth graders also traveled to the Princeton-Blairstown Center Oct. 26 to 28 and tackled the ropes courses and rappelling, along with other fun outdoor educational opportunities.
